Cost Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant to fill the role of Cost Management Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Handle all aspects of cost management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, utilizing industry-standard tools and techniques.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic changes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory reports, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required, communicating effectively and professionally.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance, streamlining processes and improving outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, mentoring and developing their skills and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in accounting and cost management.
  • Proficiency in cost performance tools and techniques, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian tax system, including direct and indirect taxes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory guidelines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in IT industry.
  • Knowledge of international taxation and transfer pricing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
