Job Opportunity:

As a senior data engineer - data modeler, you will play a key role in creating data mapping documents, writing functional specifications, and developing highly scalable data capture and transformation processes.

Working closely with the data management team, you will perform data extraction, analysis, cleansing, mapping, and profiling exercises. Additionally, you will design, develop, and implement data models using industry-standard tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, and Enterprise Architect.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience in client-facing roles. They will also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate complex concepts to non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data warehouses, data lakes, and dimensional data models
  • Develop highly scalable data capture and transformation processes
  • Perform data analysis, cleansing, mapping, and profiling exercises
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, and architects to design and develop next-generation data platforms

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience with hybrid data environments
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and architecture
  • Good experience in OLTP and OLAP systems
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Experience with ETL tools and data ingestion frameworks
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment
