Job Title: Application Support Engineer

Position Overview:

The primary role of the Application Support Engineer is to ensure the smooth operation of Access Control and CCTV systems software, as well as backend hardware. This includes application servers located globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Product Support:

  • Configuration support for Access Control and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshooting software and hardware issues pertaining to Access Control CCTV systems and other CSI applications.
  • Remote system configuration support to internal clients.
  • System failure analysis and support to on-site techs for break-fix.
  • Tracking system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits.
  • Educating unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
  • Documenting technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals at a dedicated file depository/knowledgebase.

Application Server Support:

  • Security system application installation and configuration on servers.
  • 24x7 monitoring of application services hosted on servers.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Timely and professional response to emergency service calls during office hours and off-office hours including nights.
  • Involving other team members to establish best practices/decisions.
  • Working independently as and when required.
  • Reporting to senior management to ensure satisfaction of work.
  • Participating in departmental meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Access Control and CCTV systems.
  • Experience in Installation and Maintenance of Access Control and CCTV Systems is a plus.
  • CCURE 9000 and CCURE GO software experience, along with related hardware (e.g. iStar controller) and integration.
  • Enterprise CCTV system experience like Intellicene (Cognyte/Verint), Symphia VMS, Genetec video solutions etc.
  • Windows Server Operating systems experience (e.g. Windows Server 2016, 2019).
  • SQL experience is a plus.
  • PowerShell programming experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Technical trouble shooting and reverse engineering skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter and ability to multitask.

Education:

  • Engineering Degree in Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
