Infrastructure Support Specialist

This is a technical role that requires providing high-quality and timely IT infrastructure support to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of our datacentres, platforms, and corporate systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Server management including SAN and storage array management
  • Backup, Replication, HA and Recovery technologies
  • Server Security Management
  • Server hardware maintenance and upgrades
Role Overview

This position is part of the Infrastructure department and reports to the Infrastructure Head.

Team Requirements

The team are responsible for the administration and management of all development, UAT, pre-production, production, and DR environments as well as internal corporate IT systems.

Service Delivery

Ensure that uptime SLA's are met every month by managing and resolving issues logs; performing scheduled maintenance to minimise disruption.

Ensure that performance SLA's are met every month by monitoring system performance, capacity, and growth; suggesting and implementing performance improvements and hardware/software refreshes.

Ensure that our network and systems are internally and externally secure by following existing policies and procedures and documenting for audit purposes as required by ISO27001.

Ensure that our-held data is secure and backed up by ensuring that regular backups are made and are tested; participating in yearly BCP & DR tests.

Professional Development

Develop professional and technical knowledge and skills. Provide technical advice and mentoring within the team.

Project Work

Implement new projects to meet project timelines and deadlines. Recommend changes that could reduce costs in your areas of responsibility.
