Intellectual Property Risk Manager

Job Overview:

Our team is seeking a highly skilled individual to drive intellectual property culture and mitigate potential risks associated with new product designs. Key responsibilities include reviewing designs for IP legal risks, developing search strategies, and conducting analysis for freedom to operate, state-of-art, invalidation, opposition, and litigation purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive IP culture and review designs for potential risks, initiating actions to de-risk designs and products.
  2. Conduct patent and competitor portfolio analysis, leveraging tools like IT and data analytics for effective search and analysis of IP.
  3. Work closely with IP attorneys and legal associates to close IP FTO opinion reports in a timely manner and review FTO decisions.
  4. Plan and conduct BOM FTO reviews for NPD at product level, implementing best-in-class practices and standardizing processes.
  5. Release periodic IP alerts, reviewing and disposing concerns from stakeholders while effectively building conviction and managing projects independently.
  6. Plan and conduct FTO and state-of-art searches, triggering timely protection of all forms of IP across major global jurisdictions.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and utilize state-of-art tools for IP searches, performing searches across multiple jurisdictions.
  8. Resolve claim interpretation issues in FTO with stakeholders, liaising with the legal team for effective disposal and maintaining confidentiality of IP matters.

Qualifications in IP Law are advantageous.
