Job Title: PYP Programme Leader

We are seeking a seasoned educator to spearhead our Primary Years Programme, cultivating an engaging student-centered learning environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines, promoting academic excellence and rigor.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the PYP, emphasizing inquiry-based learning and transdisciplinary approaches.
  • Provide guidance and support for teachers in developing high-quality units and learning experiences that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff, focusing on best practices and IB standards.
  • Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding and appreciation of the PYP, enhancing stakeholder relationships.
  • Coordinate and support student assessments, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with IB requirements.
  • Stay updated with IB developments and changes, ensuring the school's adherence to IB standards and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization, promoting transparency and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with a strong emphasis on leadership and management.
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification, demonstrating expertise and knowledge of IB frameworks.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching, with a proven track record of success and a deep understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to professional growth, with a passion for mentoring and supporting others.
