Data Scientist for Healthcare AI Innovation

We are seeking a talented GenAI Data Scientist with expertise in NLP and healthcare to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions for Swedish medical transcription text processing, clinical information extraction, and mapping to standard coding systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP), experience in multilingual or Swedish-specific applications, and proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement NLP solutions to extract clinical entities from Swedish medical transcription text.
  • Develop algorithms to map extracted entities to standard coding systems, including ICD and local Swedish healthcare codes.
  • Build and maintain data preprocessing pipelines for cleaning and normalizing Swedish transcription text.
  • Adapt state-of-the-art NLP models to the Swedish language, ensuring high accuracy and relevance.
  • Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to validate and refine AI models for use in Swedish healthcare coding.
  • Stay updated on Swedish healthcare coding standards and guidelines to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in NLP/AI development, with at least 1 year in healthcare-related applications.
  • Familiarity with Swedish healthcare systems, terminologies, and coding practices is preferred.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) in handling healthcare data.
