Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain accurate project estimates and budgets, taking into account engineering, project management, manufacturing, and logistics costs.
- Collaborate with the accounts team to ensure timely project cash flow management and allocation of budgets as per pre-order phase estimation.
- Provide regular cost forecasts to project managers for ongoing projects, enabling informed decision-making.
- Participate in project and sales meetings, presenting cost-related insights and suggestions to drive business growth.
- Lead and develop a team focused on estimation and budgeting processes, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.
- Track and report on the cash flow of each project under execution, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Proven experience (5-8 years) in cost estimation for projects within the steel industry, with a strong background in project budgeting and execution management.
- Understanding of bank charges, interest rates (Indian and overseas), and funding charges, with basic knowledge of project execution processes, particularly related to steel plants.
- Familiarity with electrical and automation scope estimation is an advantage, as is knowledge of civil and structural component costing.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with additional software skills a plus.
- Expertise in cost calculation for manufacturing, bought-out items, and services, with comprehensive understanding of project cost estimation in the steel industry.
- Knowledge of the Indian manufacturing sector is a valuable advantage, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
