Job Summary:

The Placement Officer is a pivotal role that involves facilitating student internships and placements by collaborating with industry partners. This position demands effective communication, team coordination, curriculum knowledge, understanding client needs and job vacancies, market awareness, problem-solving abilities, and providing student counseling and addressing placement-related queries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to facilitate placements and internships for students.
  • To convince companies to recruit students through campus placements and internships.
  • Maintain high-level interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities are required.
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office (Excel, PPT, etc.) are necessary.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in stretched timelines.
  • To develop new business opportunities and achieve targets to place students from assigned domains.
  • Coordinate between various schools under UPES, with the student coordinator, placement coordinator.
  • Coordinate with CLs and faculties at campus.
  • Handle student counselling and query solving on a day-to-day basis at campus.
