Signal Processing Specialist Role

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced DSP Systems Engineer to develop advanced signal processing algorithms using techniques from Detection and Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory.

This role involves defining performance requirements, designing, testing, verification, and validation of signal processing algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test signal processing algorithms using mathematical models and simulation tools.
  • Design and implement end-to-end systems from the ground up to meet required performance specifications.
  • Perform data analysis and verification of algorithms against real-world data.
  • Use MATLAB simulations and fixed-point implementations to optimize algorithm performance.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with focus on Digital Signal Processing or digital communications theory.
  • 3-10 years of experience in implementing DSP algorithms and developing signal processing systems.
  • Solid understanding of mathematics, digital signal processing, and communication systems.
  • Experience in designing, choosing, and optimizing DSP algorithms for Radar or other relevant sensors.
  • Proficient in MATLAB and C/C++ programming languages and experience with other languages (e.g., Python).
  • Ability to learn and implement new algorithms in cutting-edge technology.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Background in Radar or LiDAR Signal Processing (FMCW).
  • Expertise in Radar link budgets, analysis of Minimum Detectable Signal, Signal-to-Noise, and Signal-to-Clutter.
  • Experience developing DSP algorithms on Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).
