Job Description

This senior product designer will lead the design of fan-facing experiences that pair exceptional visual craft with creative problem-solving. They'll take ideas from concept to launch, set high standards for visual quality and create systems for consistency and scalability.

The role requires both hands-on and strategic skills. The senior product designer will design high-impact features themselves while guiding our visual approach and mentoring other designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design process for major product initiatives across web, mobile and new fan engagement platforms.
  • Define visual direction for products, ensuring every touchpoint feels fresh, consistent and brand-aligned.
  • Design and deliver polished user interfaces - from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes - that balance beauty and usability.
  • Build and maintain scalable design system and component libraries for visual and functional consistency.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Editorial and Growth to align design decisions with user needs and business goals.
  • Take initiative in setting high design standards and fostering good design practices within the company.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience: 4+ years in digital product design, ideally in media, sports or high-traffic consumer platforms.
  • Portfolio: Strong body of work showcasing top-tier visual design and thoughtful UX solutions.
  • Craft Skills: Mastery of Figma and strong typography, composition and interaction design skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect visual execution to user needs and business priorities.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting work to stakeholders at all levels.

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience designing for sports, entertainment or online communities.
  • Skills in branding or creative storytelling.

You will work on redesigning personalized homefeed and article reading experience, launching community-first features like polls, reactions, loyalty rewards or gamification elements, shaping the visual identity of newsletters and editorial storytelling assets, building internal tools for editorial and community managers, evolving and maintaining a lean design system that scales with growth.
