Senior Data Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Strategist to lead the design and development of our data warehouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of cutting-edge data architecture solutions that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with our business objectives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish connections between engineering, product, and analytics/data scientists.
  3. Design, implement, and update existing/new batch ETL pipelines to ensure seamless data integration.
  4. Define and implement data architecture to support business intelligence and decision-making.
  5. Partner with engineers and data analysts to build reliable datasets that can be trusted, understood, and used by the organization.
  6. Work with various data orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, and others) to optimize data processing.
Requirements:
  1. Strong understanding of data architecture models and leading data-driven projects.
  2. Solid expertise in data modeling paradigms such as Kimball, Inmon, Data Marts, Data Vault, Medallion, etc.
  3. Strong experience with cloud-based data strategies and big data technologies – AWS Preferred.
  4. Hands-on experience in SQL is essential.
  5. Deep understanding of PostGreSQL development, query optimization, and designing indexes is crucial.
  6. An ability to understand and manipulate intermediate to complex-level SQL.
  7. Thorough knowledge of Postgres PL/SQL to work with complex warehouse workflows.
  8. Ability to use advanced SQL concepts such as RANK, DENSE_RANK, along with applying advanced statistical concepts through SQL.
  9. Working experience with PostGres SQL extensions like PostGIS is desired.
  10. Expertise in writing ETL pipelines combining Python + SQL is required.
  11. Understanding of data manipulation libraries in Python like Pandas, Polars, DuckDB is desirable.
  12. Experience in designing data visualization with different tools such as Tableau and PowerBI is beneficial.

This role requires a passionate individual who thrives in a fast-paced international working environment. Experience in the telecom industry is a plus but not mandatory.
