Job Summary:

A Cloud Data Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, developing and deploying Azure Function Apps for event-driven data processing and automation, integrating Databricks with other Azure services, optimizing Spark jobs for performance and cost-efficiency, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable data architectures using Azure Databricks (PySpark/Scala).
  • Develop and deploy cloud-based data applications using Azure Function Apps.
  • Integrate Databricks with other Azure services like Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Event Hubs, Key Vault, etc.
  • Optimize Spark job execution for improved performance and reduced costs.
  • Implement automated build, deployment, and testing processes using Azure DevOps for Databricks notebooks and Function Apps.
  • Maintain high availability and reliability of production workloads, ensuring seamless data delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver data-driven solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala), and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Proficiency in developing Azure Function Apps using C#, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of Azure Data Lake, Event Hubs, Blob Storage, and Key Vault security features.
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure as code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) tools.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in an agile environment, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar certifications.
  • Experience with Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog, and other cloud-native data technologies.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
