Key Roles and Responsibilities for Data QA Specialist

Our organization requires a Data Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee data cleaning and quality assurance processes for our new software product. This individual will review large datasets, transform them into accurate business expense insights, and ensure the data adheres to U.S. accounting rules.

  • The specialist will manually verify financial transaction data and make necessary corrections.
  • Tabular data in our proprietary software will be utilized to complete work.

This position offers opportunities for growth and contribution to our company's success. Exceptional employees may be promoted to manage teams of other Data QA Specialists.

This role is a fully remote position based in India with some overlap with U.S. work hours expected. Greater flexibility during training and onboarding is required.

  • The selected candidate will own reviewing and updating raw financial transaction spend data and invoices.
  • Verify and correct financial transaction data following U.S. accounting rules.
  • Deduplicate overlapping transactions, select correct records, adjust amortization dates, and verify vendor tags.

You Are Likely to Succeed If:

  • 0-3 years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst.
  • At least 1 year of full-time experience in A/P bookkeeping, junior accounting, or similar positions using U.S. accounting practices.
  • Experience with ERP software like Netsuite, Sage, Quickbooks, or Xero.
