As a seasoned legal professional, you will play a pivotal role in our team, ensuring the seamless execution of contracts across various jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract reviews and negotiations, primarily focusing on customer and vendor agreements such as Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Data Protection Agreements (DPAs), order forms, Statements of Work (SOWs), marketing and event agreements, partner agreements, and related commercial contracts
  • Providing expert legal advice on contractual obligations and commercial terms, staying current with global regulatory developments, particularly GDPR, DPDPA, and other privacy laws
  • Handling data privacy matters, including research, drafting privacy-related clauses, and maintaining compliance with evolving regulations
  • Reviewing contracts, internal documents, and policies specific to the India jurisdiction, ensuring alignment with local regulations
  • Drafting and maintaining standard contract templates and playbooks to streamline the contracting process

Requirements:

  • A law graduate with approximately 4-6 years of experience, with at least 3 years in the IT/software industry
  • Strong expertise in redlining and negotiating IT/software industry-specific contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements, and DPAs
  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws, including GDPR, and relevant documentation experience is a must-have
  • Familiarity with SaaS contracts is an added advantage
  • Experience with legal technology tools and AI-powered legal platforms is beneficial
  • Understanding of legal aspects related to employment contracts and related matters in India is an added advantage
  • Good communication skills are essential for success in this role
  • Five-day office presence is mandatory for this position
