System Security Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to lead technical initiatives and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in information security or compliance engineering roles, with practical experience with DevOps security practices and integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding and hands-on experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2 (Type I and II), and NIST SP 800-53 is required.

In addition, the successful candidate will have experience working in cloud-native environments with secure configuration and governance controls, familiarity with cloud-native security, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.

Solid knowledge of access management, encryption, logging/monitoring, and network security principles is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing policies and technical documentation, are also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
  • Maintain strong understanding and hands-on experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2 (Type I and II), and NIST SP 800-53.
  • Work in cloud-native environments with secure configuration and governance controls.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native security, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or AWS Security Specialty.
  • Experience with compliance automation platforms.
  • Background in regulated industries such as fintech, healthcare, or government.
