Athena Education seeks an accomplished Senior Academic Writer to lead our college essay and creative projects team.

  • Job Description: Drive the essay process of students by understanding their needs thoroughly, and working with them to translate their brand into a variety of essays and other facets of the college application.
  • Ideation and Outlining: Develop high-quality essays with excellent content, structure, and style while ensuring that all drafts are polished and ready for submission to top universities.
  • Creative Projects: Guide students in various creative endeavors including theater scripts, book writing, and poetry writing.
  • Workshops and Counseling: Conduct workshops to build writing, communication, and other skills in students. Support student counseling to ensure holistic growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Writing and Editing: Exceptional long-form writing skills and multi-dimensional creative ability to craft compelling stories, essays, and scripts.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively work with students and colleagues.
  • Client Management: Strong client management skills to deliver high-quality results.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top institution and preferred experience of 3+ years in writing/editing.
