Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate technical solutions and execution methods for sales offers and customer specifications.
  • Lead involvement in sizing and costing of technical offers with the sales manager, including pre-approval.
  • Maintain weekly project monitoring to ensure proper technical support to assembly/service support teams and customers.
  • Provide engineering management and technical analysis of projects, including design, calculation, component specification, cost estimation, and technical service.
  • Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team to conceptualize and develop innovative/upgraded solutions.
  • Interface with co-workers and customers through the design, development, implementation activities, and delivery cycle associated with equipment build.
  • Support analytical problem-solving for assembly factory/assembly lines and challenges related to equipment fabrication/assembly/quality/tests, installation & commissioning, and technical service activities.
Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Design and experience in design and analysis of mechanical/electrical structures, low/high/ultra-high vacuum systems. Experience in High Pressure Vessel design/construction, High Temperature Hot Zone design/construction, Heating Elements/ Heat-Shield or Insulation design and construction, Heat Exchanger design/construction, and Hot-zone support structure/Hearth bar design/construction is required.

A strong understanding of heat treatment, brazing, carburizing, hardening, annealing, melting, etc. and knowledge about various types of materials, surface, and thermal treatments for low/high/ultra-high vacuum are necessary. Additionally, hands-on aptitude with standard design practices and manufacturing techniques and advanced skills in 2D & 3D CAD software - preferably AutoCAD and Inventor or Solid Works are required.

The candidate should also have knowledge and application of numerical modeling in solid mechanics, Thermal exchange calculation / Computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Method (FEM) and Thermo-mechanical simulations analysis, and working knowledge of pneumatics, vacuum process systems, electrical components, and automation.
