Job Title: Equity Analyst

Department: Corporate Finance

Business Unit: Investment Management

Designation: Assistant Manager / Manager

Reports to: Global Head of Investments

Job Summary:

  • The investment group has surplus funds that need to be deployed in an efficient manner.
  • The dedicated investment team adheres to the investment policy and makes informed decisions on investments.
  • We conduct in-depth analysis of company and sector dynamics, creating detailed financial models and monitoring assigned companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We examine a company's financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial statements and develop an investment thesis when required.
  • Perform market and portfolio analysis to support equity investment decisions.
  • Provide continuous coverage on allocated industry sectors and individual stocks; monitor earning results, corporate actions analysis.
  • Liaising with investment backoffice teams to ensure timely trade processing.
  • Study and analyze market conditions, conducting research on financial, social, and economic data and information.
  • Portfolio maintenance includes updating and monitoring of the portfolio.
  • To ensure all documentation is updated and maintained regularly.
  • Evaluate startup companies and prepare a detailed report to highlight opportunities and risks; justify investment thesis.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in the regulatory environment.

Required Skills:

  • CA/Full time MBA Finance with minimum 8 -12 years of experience.
  • Working experience of SAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills – able to convey effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Listening skills – coordinate across external & internal stakeholders & interpret different viewpoints.
