Portfolio Valuation Specialist

We seek a meticulous and proactive Portfolio Valuation Specialist to join our Fund Accounting & Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for hedge fund portfolios.
  • Perform Profit and Loss (P&L) reconciliation between fund administrator reports, internal records, and prime broker statements.
  • Cash Reconciliation: reconcile cash positions across custodians, banks, and internal systems.
  • Analyze discrepancies in positions, pricing, fees, and expenses.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Assist in performance reporting and investor statements.
  • Collaborate with fund administrators, prime brokers, and custodians to ensure accurate trade settlement and reporting.
  • Validate portfolio data and performance metrics with portfolio managers and risk teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's or professional certification like CFA/CPA is a plus).
  • 2-5 years of experience in fund accounting or hedge fund operations, preferably with exposure to NAV calculation and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, derivatives, fixed income, FX, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
