Job Overview:

Project Accounting Specialist">
  • This role is responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, including billing, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software, such as OpenAir, and be able to analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • They will also be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, finance teams, and clients.

Billing Process:

  1. Review and assess contractual obligations to ensure accurate billing.
  2. Translate contractual obligations into corresponding billing activities under all open-air projects.
  3. Manage month-end project invoice activities in OpenAir.
  4. Run manually or systematically each project's billing every month during invoicing time.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing project activities before rolling up to an invoice.
  • Create each project's necessary invoice and update relevant information for submitting through approval processes.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate with needed parties during invoice time to ensure invoice accuracy and approvals.
  • Create and maintain searches, reports, and workflows revolving around invoicing/billing activities.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with OpenAir accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with professional service organizations.
