Category Management Specialist

This role involves leading and executing category management activities in line with specified guidelines and business requirements to ensure surety of supply and minimum supply risk for the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial strategies, global procurement experience, and advanced Excel skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing activities contributing to the Business/Sites/Local/Project Supply Sourcing Plan. This includes planing and executing portfolio of sourcing projects enabling category strategies and managing on-time delivery minimizing disruption to the business operations.
- Commercial ownership of all spends for all areas of clientele
- Execute local category strategies and contract coverage to support Operational Strategies and process automation.
- Apply Category Management & Purchasing processes in alignment to design intent, local operating procedures, audit & Group Level obligations.
Lead commercial negotiations with Suppliers, review contract award recommendations and contracts for approval. Leads, advises and mentors cross functional team members to ensure delivery against performance targets Support resolution of supplier performance issues and escalations. Monitor the portfolio of suppliers supporting the business ensuring optimal usage & performance against business expectations.
