Project Overview

We are embarking on a pioneering venture – a 0-1 stablecoin payments initiative. Stablecoins have emerged as one of the fastest-growing categories in crypto, boasting clear product-market fit in payments and cross-border use cases. Major players like Global banks, fintechs like Stripe, and crypto-native companies are heavily investing in this space. Focusing on APAC, where we have a strong foothold, our project aims to capitalize on early experiments and customer conversations that have shown promising market pull. We are now setting up the right team to scale.

Role Summary

We seek an accomplished Engineering Lead/Manager to oversee engineering for the entire stablecoin initiative – encompassing both the application and infrastructure layers. You will lead a small engineering team while remaining hands-on building backend systems that scale securely and reliably. A significant part of your role will involve designing and maintaining integrations with on/off-ramp providers across geographies, many of which lack mature APIs or documentation. You will guide technical discussions, define architecture, and ensure our systems remain robust on top of fragmented provider infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead backend development of web and mobile applications
  • Design and scale backend systems powering payments and settlements
  • Develop solid, reliable infra on top of fragmented provider APIs across markets
  • Guide technical discussions and own architecture for integrations and scaling
  • Mentor and manage a small engineering team across infra + app layers
  • Ensure security, scalability, and regulatory readiness in architecture
  • Own delivery timelines and establish engineering best practices
Suitable Candidate Profile

To be considered, you must possess:

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong expertise in software design and API design
  • A background in fintech or payments is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in building integrations with external APIs/partners across geographies
  • A track record of leading small teams and scaling early-stage systems
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity, take ownership, and deliver results swiftly
