Instrumentation and Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and approving instrument deliverables including design basis, instrument index, and I/O list, instrument datasheets, and control system specifications.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Field Instrument Design: Prepare and review design deliverables for field instruments and systems in hazardous areas.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in P&ID reviews, 3-D model reviews, IDR/IDC, and HAZOP.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform design calculations for instrument sizing, control valve sizing, flow meter sizing, safety valve sizing, air and power consumption calculations, intrinsic safety validation calculation, and thermowell wake frequency calculations.
  • Instrument Selection: Select all types of field instruments and systems for hazardous areas.
  • Procurement Deliverables: Prepare and review material requisitions, TBEs, purchase requisitions, and vendor drawing reviews and approvals.
  • Control Systems: Work with DCS, ESD (SIS), PLCs, package control systems, and fire and gas systems.

You must have experience working as a Lead Instrumentation Engineer on mid to large-scale chemical, petrochemical, and oil and gas projects. You will estimate engineering efforts, participate in client meetings and reviews, conduct site surveys and reports, and support site erection and commissioning.
