The Opportunity:

Avantor Fluid Handling (AFH) division provides innovative solutions for bio-pharmaceutical manufacturers across every step of the bioprocess workflow. The division offers a range of products, including Masterflex Peristaltic pumps, Tubing, and SU products, to support the bioprocessing needs of customers.

This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of a technical engagement strategy that aligns with the global and cross-functional goals of the AFH division. The successful candidate will provide guidance based on their past technical experience and in-depth knowledge of the upstream process and chromatography purification downstream process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a technical engagement strategy to support the positioning of Masterflex pumps and tubing in customer process workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to commercial sales colleagues, product managers, and R&D scientists to meet business goals.
  • Manage and prioritize technical engagements in the field, including customer meetings and product demonstrations.
  • Support sales team members in customer engagement activities, such as product training and technical support.
  • Track and trend metrics related to technical customer engagements for the India sales team.
  • Partner with marketing, product management, and R&D to support the development of applications data for new and existing products and services.
  • Drive innovation and support the continuous improvement of AFH and service offerings.
  • Compile and analyze Voice of Customer to identify unmet customer needs and pain points.
  • Understand and communicate the competitive landscape and potential for future products and services to marketing and product management.
  • Maintain a current understanding of industry trends by attending scientific conferences, trade shows, and reviewing literature, and communicate findings accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering).
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years industry experience in life sciences – Biopharma industry, including relevant knowledge across the workflow.
  • Experience working with external customers within the Biotech, Biologics, Life Sciences, and/or Biopharmaceutical industries in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing capacity.
