Procurement Solutions Consultant

  • Designs and implements procurement solutions using advanced software tools.
  • Translates business requirements into system configurations that meet client needs.
  • Ensures compliance with industry standards and best practices in the field of procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the specific needs and objectives of the business customer to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in procurement-related business processes, providing guidance to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and develop business requirements.
  • Define how procurement systems will support business needs, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Conduct thorough impact analysis for new or changing business requirements to minimize disruption.
  • Analyze, determine, and document detailed system requirements to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Validate that system configurations meet client expectations, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Estimate work effort and coordinate design/development activities to achieve project milestones.
  • Proactively resolve issues through effective work planning and stakeholder communication.
  • Mentor team members on business processes and functional areas to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of excellent client service within and across teams.
  • Manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Support test planning, execution, and review phases to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Assist with the creation and review of technical cutover deliverables for production, ensuring smooth transition.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with Ariba Buying & Invoicing (B&I), Guided Buying, SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP), and Ariba Sourcing.
  • Preferred: Experience in the Life Sciences sector.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications.
  • Additional beneficial knowledge: SAP ERP and OpenText VIM systems.
