We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join our team.
- This role involves collaborating with clients in the Asia-Pacific region to provide technical resources.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software engineering principles and experience working with distributed data technologies.
- A strong background in cloud computing and experience with big data processing tools is highly desirable.
The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing efficient, large-scale 'big data' pipelines using distributed data technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, Flink etc.
The key skills required for this role include:
- Strong Software Engineering experience with proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Python or equivalent.
- Distributed data technologies for building efficient, large-scale 'big data' pipelines.
- Implement data ingestion pipelines both real time and batch using best practices.
- Experience with stream-processing applications using Apache Flink, Kafka Streams or others.
- Cloud Computing platforms like Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud.
