Senior Tax Operations Manager

A seasoned Taxation professional sought to manage the day-to-day tax operations, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
About the RoleThis taxation role involves handling direct and indirect tax areas including TDS compliances, payment of equalisation levy, preparation of income tax computation, and filing of tax audit reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for data analysis, stakeholder management, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely filing of TDS returns, Form 16A, rectification of defaults, and payment of Equalisation Levy.
- Direct Taxation: Prepare income tax computation for annual return, quarterly advance tax workings, and provide data for assessments and appeals.
- Indirect Taxation: Calculate GST liabilities, reconcile differences, file applicable GST Returns (GSTR 1 and GSTR 3B), and prepare submissions for departmental audits.
- Chartered Accountant with 2–5 years' experience in taxation.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and analytical tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax-related software.
- Experience working with statutory audits, group audits, and IFC audits.
