Job Title: Product Development Engineer

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of high-quality dryers that meet our quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) parameters. Your primary focus will be on product development, ensuring that our dryer products are reliable, efficient, and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Design and Development: You will be responsible for designing and developing new dryer products that meet our QCD parameters.
  • Engineering Change Management: You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage engineering changes and updates to existing products.

Delivering Quality Products:

  • Adequacy and Adherence: You will ensure that our processes enable the production of high-quality products that meet customer requirements.
  • Defects per Million Units (DPMU): You will be responsible for maintaining a low DPMU rate, indicating a high level of product reliability.

Minimizing Material Costs:

  • Cost Reduction: You will identify opportunities to reduce material costs through innovative design solutions.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering: A degree in mechanical engineering is required, with a preference for those with a master's degree in thermal engineering.

Core Experience:

  • 5-8 Years of Experience: You should have 5-8 years of experience in design and development of desiccant dryers.

Preferable Knowledge/Experience:

  • Desiccant Dryer Design: Experience in designing desiccant dryers for compressed air applications is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Desiccants, Heat Exchangers, Fans, Valves & Controllers: You should have knowledge of desiccants, heat exchangers, fans, valves, and controllers.
  • Manufacturing/Testing Facilities Requirements: Familiarity with manufacturing and testing facilities requirements is essential.
  • Supplier Network: You should have knowledge of supplier networks for dryer-related parts.
  • Statutory, Standard, and Certification Requirements: Familiarity with statutory, standard, and certification requirements is necessary.
