Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join our Research and Development team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to make a significant impact in the field of recombinant protein production.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our bioinformatics initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to enable faster, more accurate, and cost-effective recombinant protein production. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing DNA, gene, or protein sequence insights for any new protein of choice; coordinating with contractual gene synthesis partners for gene sequence validation and codon optimisation.
  • Supporting comparative genomics and virus–host interaction studies to enhance the platform.
  • Advising on recombinant protein–host protein interactions, protein tagging, and purification strategies.
  • Recommending appropriate kits, antibodies, and assays through protein–protein interaction studies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A PhD or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in running bioinformatics pipelines for Protein/DNA analysis.
  • Expertise in genetics, genomics, proteomics, and protein modelling databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple teams.
