Business Analyst II Job Overview

The role of Business Analyst II involves developing and implementing end-to-end workflows that generate datasets crucial to the delivery and support of ongoing and future reporting and analytics projects.

This position will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements for new datasets, strengthen reporting requirements, and contribute to the success of our reporting platform as it grows to support the expanding business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Developing high-level and detailed validations using Alteryx to ensure data quality and user confidence in datasets.">
  • Building workflows and macros in Alteryx to handle data transformations and apply business rules.">
  • Participating in discussions to devise business rules to address data quality issues.">
  • Writing and debugging SQL queries to extract datasets from Data Warehouse and other relational databases.">
  • Working closely with development teams to align data feeds to application dimensionality and testing data loaded in applications.">
  • Partnering with customers during UAT phases and working with development teams to fix data/application issues identified.">
  • Providing level 2 resource support, diving deep into data and process flows/breaks.">
  • Liaising with internal groups to ensure compliance with MasterCard technical standards and navigating O&T requirements around change management and new development.">

  • Strong understanding of Alteryx workflows and macros.">
  • Good understanding of SQL Server or Oracle DB.">
  • Advanced MS-Excel and PPT skills.">
  • Ability to work on Windows and Linux servers.">
  • Strong commitment to development, testing, and ensuring quality of data workflows.">
  • Ability to step in and debug/analyze workflows of others on the team.">
  • Experience working within Agile environments and a strong 'roll up your sleeves' mentality.">
