Job DescriptionThe Chief Technical Documentation Specialist will be responsible for collecting project information from the project leader/system manager, understanding the data provided, and preparing documents in the latest version of word/latex. The ideal candidate should have experience working in science/engineering projects, preferably with 5 years of post-qualification experience.
This role involves suggesting improvements to document formats, giving control numbers to each document, showing connections between different documents, proper indexing of all documents, checking prepared documents, and submission within a scheduled timeline. Additionally, the candidate must maintain version control documents with traceability and repository of all versions.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this position, you should have excellent technical writing skills, knowledge of OS (Windows, Linux/Unix, Ubuntu/equivalent), MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Open Office, Libre Office, Latex, Web-based tools, and Project Management Tools like MS Project and equivalent. Experience with AutoCAD/Solid Works/Corel Draw/equivalent drawing tools is also desirable.
A B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required, along with a 3-month certification course in Technical Documentation Writing/Diploma Course in Technical Writing. You should be able to work efficiently in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills.

The estimated salary range for this position is ₹1,500,000 - ₹2,000,000 per annum, based on the location (Chandigarh, Delhi, Dehradun, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Vizag, Ahmednagar, Ambernath, Pune). However, this may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
