Chemical Synthesis Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Synthesis Specialist to join our team in drug discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Synthesis and Purification: Design, synthesize, and purify novel chemical compounds for drug development.
  • Chemical Reactions: Conduct safe chemical reactions with a strong understanding of organic chemistry principles.
  • Multi-step Synthesis: Apply knowledge of functional group conversion and multi-step synthesis techniques.
  • Retrosynthetic Analysis: Perform basic retrosynthetic analysis to design efficient synthesis routes.
  • Analytical Skills: Analyze NMR, IR, and Mass Spectrometry data with excellence.
  • Reaction Safety: Maintain strict adherence to safe lab practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to move chemistry projects forward.
  • Technical Expertise: Expertise in TLC, column purification, extraction, and handling pyrophoric reactions.
  • Lab Practices: Maintain safe and productive laboratory conditions.
  • Literature Search: Proficient in conducting literature searches using tools such as Reaxys.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate good communication and presentation skills.

Requirements:

  • Education: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or a related field, or M. Pharma.
  • Experience: 1-6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
