About the Role
  • This position demands hands-on experience with vSphere, vSAN, vRealize Operations (vROps / VMware Aria Operations), and NSX, alongside tight collaboration with customer IT teams to ensure platform health, implement changes, and optimize capacity and performance proactively.

You will be responsible for:

  • vSphere administration in production, encompassing cluster design, HA/DRS, VM lifecycle management, patching, and updates.
  • Apractical understanding of vSAN operations, including policy-based management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with NSXT for day-to-day operations, covering overlay networks, segments, routing concepts, distributed firewall rules, and NAT.
  • Experience with vROps / VMware Aria Operations for monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and reporting.

In addition, this role seeks an individual with:

  • An in-depth comprehension of data center networking fundamentals (L2/L3) and storage basics.
  • Proficiency in change/incident processes (ITIL-aligned) and writing/runbook documentation.
Requirements
  • 4–7 years of total experience in VMware virtualization and software-defined data center operations.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with vSphere and vSAN; 1–2 years with NSXT day-to-day operations.
  • Prior experience operating vROps/Aria Operations in production.
  • Certifications (desired): VCPDCV (required or in progress), VCPNV (plus), VCAP (plus).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent practical experience.
