Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Application Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security group, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security risks across our applications and infrastructure.

About this Role:

  • Conduct thorough security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in our systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices and design patterns.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Security Assessments: Perform regular security audits to identify potential weaknesses and recommend mitigation strategies.
  2. Penetration Testing: Conduct simulated attacks on our systems and applications to test their defenses.
  3. Secure Coding: Work with development teams to ensure that all code is written with security best practices in mind.
  4. Guidelines and Standards: Develop and maintain comprehensive security guidelines and standards for the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in application security.
  • Proven track record of identifying and mitigating security risks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mastery of secure coding practices and design patterns.
  • Experience with penetration testing tools and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of web application security threats and countermeasures.
