Role Summary

OS Engineers play a vital role in safeguarding, maintaining, and managing networks and services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining custom kernel modules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain custom kernel modules.
  • Develop portable code bases for applications, libraries, and tools across various *nix variants.
  • Automate build and test environments.
  • Conduct in-depth code analysis and reviews of in-house code and third-party code.
  • Improve software stacks, tooling, and processes.
  • Troubleshoot incidents across infrastructure, network, storage, and stack levels.
  • Document findings and procedures for repetitive tasks and use them for automation.
  • Evaluate new hardware servers, NICs, and add support for new devices.
  • Develop custom command shells and ISO installers.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of Linux device driver development experience.
  • 1-3 years of application development experience in Linux environments.
  • Thorough understanding of Linux kernel internals, including memory management, filesystem, IRQ, DMA, IOMMU, networking, etc.
  • Proficient coding skills in C or C++.
  • Hands-on coding skills in Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Experience with build environments (auto make, CMake, Clang) and version control systems (Git, CVS, SVN).
  • Experience with kernel and process debugging, profiling tools (Valgrind, GDB, KDB, perf, etc.).
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, and collaboration.
