CIAM Architect Position Overview

As a CIAM Architect, you will lead the architecture and evolution of the authentication capability, a critical component of our Identity and Access Management platform.

You'll design and guide the development of secure, resilient, and customer-centric authentication services that integrate deeply with our product landscape.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the architecture and design of modern Customer Identity (CIAM) platforms, with a proven track record of delivering at scale in cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and drive the implementation of CIAM solutions across products and platforms
  • Design secure, scalable authentication and authorization flows for customers
  • Implement and manage OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and social/federated login mechanisms
  • Lead technical discussions and decisions across internal teams and external partners
  • Evaluate future architecture directions through models and prototypes
  • Ensure solutions meet quality attributes: security, scalability, and resilience
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into well-designed services

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of experience as a hands-on software architect
  • Proven leadership in architecting global SaaS applications at scale
  • Demonstrated experience in Customer Identity (CIAM) systems
  • Hands-on with CIAM platforms like Auth0, PingOne for Customers, ForgeRock AM, Okta CIAM
  • Strong grasp of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, PKCE, SAML, and MFA
  • Deep understanding of customer authentication flows, security practices, and privacy standards
