Job Overview:

The Nutrition Program Lead will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition-focused initiatives and proposals.

  • Spearhead lead generation and pipeline development for nutrition-specific concepts and proposals in alignment with thematic strategy and multi-year goals;
  • Collaborate with the team to curate problem statements and develop RFPs;
  • Evaluate relevant concepts and proposals for grantmaking at regular intervals;
  • Conduct budget assessments for new proposals;
  • Organize sectoral meetings, roundtables, consultations, and workshops as planned;
  • Support the team in desk reviews of strategies and action plans in consultation with senior stakeholders;
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives;
  • Manage, monitor, and supervise various programs and initiatives, ensuring adherence to processes and effective supervision of grants/programs;
  • Ensure timely grant reports and fund disbursals to grantees;
  • Independently manage grants and provide support to team members as needed;
  • Identify key learnings and lessons from projects and develop knowledge products;
  • Collaborate with other units such as finance, legal, communications, and others as required;
  • Develop high-quality content for mixed audiences, including case studies, reports, concept notes, pitch decks, articles/blog posts, etc.;
  • Support the development of annual work plans and budgets collaboratively;
  • Maintain relationships with grantees and partners.
Key Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities include generating leads, building a pipeline of nutrition-specific concepts and proposals, curating problem statements, evaluating relevant concepts and proposals, conducting budget assessments, and managing, monitoring, and supervising different programs and initiatives.

Requirements:

A PhD or Master's or a PG Diploma in Public Health Nutrition, Food and Nutrition Sciences, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, and related disciplines is essential. Five to ten years of experience in public health nutrition, food, and related program development, research, and policy is necessary. Prior experience in philanthropy and grant making will be beneficial. Experience in research and program evaluation will be advantageous. Skilled in proposal development or assessment, and budget reviews will be an added advantage.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • PhD or Master's or PG Diploma in Public Health Nutrition, Food and Nutrition Sciences, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, or related disciplines;
  • Five to ten years of experience in public health nutrition, food, and related program development, research, and policy;
  • Prior experience in philanthropy and grant making; and/or
