FPGA Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA expert to lead our design and development efforts on various projects in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include defining and developing complex FPGA designs for Test products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D Project Managers, Product Architects, Solution Teams, FPGA developers, Software Qualification Engineers, and Software Engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones.
  • Work closely with system architects to define the system architecture and determine how the FPGA will interface with other components on the PCA board and choose an appropriate FPGA based on the project's requirements.
  • Design and develop complex FPGA circuits using RTL languages such as VHDL or Verilog.
  • Utilize Xilinx FPGA Tools Design Flow, including Vivado, Chipscope, and Quartus.
  • Employ EDA Functional Simulation tools from Synopsys, Mentor, or Cadence.
  • Develop self-checking simulation environments involving test benches, scripts for automation, and writing test cases.
  • Ensure timing closure for complex designs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • At least 7+ years of experience in R&D, specifically in FPGA development (Altera, Xilinx).
  • Experience with RTL languages - VHDL or Verilog.
  • Proficiency in Xilinx FPGA Tools Design Flow, including Vivado, Chipscope, and Quartus.
  • Experience with EDA Functional Simulation tools from Synopsys, Mentor, or Cadence.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, protocols, and product segments.
  • Excellent written skills for creating documents like Product Definition, Detailed FPGA Design, Hardware & Software Interface documents.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Keysight instruments, including Oscilloscopes, Analyzers, AWG, and BERT.
  • Knowledge of various protocols, such as PCI Express, USB, MIPI (MPHY, DPHY, CPHY based), Ethernet, DDR, etc.
  • Experience in international collaboration, including US and EUR locations.
  • Experience in multi-vendor collaboration, involving software supplied by and/or to external organizations.
