Demurrage and Claims Expert

As a Demurrage and Claims Expert, you will be responsible for handling claims effectively.

  • Manage claims to ensure timely submissions
  • Liaise with client teams, vessel agents, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information
  • Ensure accurate interpretation of contract clauses and evaluate claims based on the same
  • Provide analytical insights on claims to support informed decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and review port documents from clients, vessels, and agents to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Store and maintain documents in a secure and organized manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claims and related data

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, sailing background preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in handling claims, mainly for product tankers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement
