Wireless Network Engineer

Overview:

The Wireless Network Engineer manages and supports the network infrastructure, ensuring security, high availability, and compliance. This includes wireless networking devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day monitoring and basic troubleshooting of wireless network devices.
  • Support and maintain Wi-Fi connectivity for users across locations.
  • Assist in managing network configurations, VLAN assignments, and basic network changes.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers for escalations and configuration changes.
  • Maintain documentation of network setups and issue resolutions.
  • Provide user support for network-related issues.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience in Wired and Wireless Networking.
  • Working knowledge of network management systems.
  • Basic understanding of wireless networking concepts.
  • Familiar with Layer 2 concepts – VLANs, trunk/access ports, port security.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with other teams when needed.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Malayalam language is mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
  • 2+ years in network administration.
