Job Title:

Production Chemist

Company Overview:

A forward-thinking pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Hyderabad seeks an ambitious production chemist to lead our team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the preparation and execution of chemical production batches following standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and consistent product quality.
  2. Effectively manage pyrophoric reagents, Raney nickel, and operate pressure reactors in line with company policies and industry standards.
  3. Expertly perform the filtration of low-melting solids and implement optimal filtration techniques.
  4. Identify and report any deviations from specifications, collaborating with senior chemists to troubleshoot and rectify issues.
  5. Maintain meticulous records of production activities including batch records, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  6. Generate detailed reports and summaries as required by the production and quality control teams.
  7. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to guarantee a secure working environment.
  8. Proactively identify and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
  9. Operate production equipment such as reactors, mixers, and filters efficiently.
  10. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  11. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality control, and research and development.
  12. Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate a smooth production process.
  13. Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  14. Contribute innovative ideas for optimizing production workflows.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
  1. Candidates with a strong educational background in chemistry from reputable institutions may apply.
  2. Individuals with up to 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical production sector are preferred.
  3. Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively as part of a team is essential.
  4. A desire to gain experience in leading and contributing to production is highly valued.
  1. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  2. Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset to drive innovation and overcome scientific challenges.

The physical demands of this role include strong visual acuity, fine motor skills, and the ability to sustain focus for extended periods. The employee should also possess physical endurance to stand or move across the production floor for prolonged durations, handling machinery and monitoring production activities.
