Job Title:

User Experience Specialist

We are seeking an experienced User Experience Specialist to create intuitive and safe interfaces for a surgical robotics application.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Create user-centered designs that meet the needs of surgeons and OR staff
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop medical device software
    • Apply usability engineering principles to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Technical Requirements:

    • UI Development Technologies:

      • WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation):

        • Expertise in XAML markup, styling, custom controls, data binding, MVVM pattern, dependency properties, and attached properties
        • Familiarity with WPF animation and transitions

      • C#.NET:

        • Advanced experience with UI layer development using C#

    • MVVM Architecture:

      • Deep understanding of the Model-View-View Model pattern

    • Data Binding:

      • Experience with complex binding scenarios, value converters, and multi-binding

    • Design Styling:

      • Expertise in XAML styling, control templates, resource dictionaries, vector graphics, color theory, and typography

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Advanced WPF Technologies:

      • Familiarity with custom control development, 3D integration, multi-monitor support, hardware integration, and performance optimization

  • Experience Requirements:

    • Professional Experience:

      • Minimum 2 years of UI/UX development experience
      • At least 1 year of experience with medical device or healthcare software

  • Medical Device Domain Knowledge:

    • Regulatory Compliance:

      • Knowledge of IEC 62366-1: Usability engineering for medical devices
      • Familiarity with IEC 62304: Medical device software lifecycle (UI aspects)
      • Understanding of FDA Human Factors Guidance: Medical device interface requirements
      • Knowledge of ISO 14971: Risk management for medical device interfaces
      • Familiarity with IEC 60601-1-8: Alarm systems in medical electrical equipment

Specific UI/UX Capabilities:

  • Medical Interface Design:

    • Ability to design alarm prioritization systems
    • Experience with status dashboard creation
    • Skills in error recovery design
    • Understanding of confirmation dialogs
    • Ability to create progress indicators
