Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize Android-native components using Java/Kotlin for high-performance applications.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Android modules into seamless, scalable builds.
  • Implement secure data handling, storage, and permissions in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Develop responsive and accessible UI integration for mobile and web interfaces, ensuring user experience and engagement.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python FastAPI and Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for efficient data exchange between devices, apps, and servers.
  • Optimize backend services for high-volume, low-latency medical data processing, focusing on scalability and redundancy.
  • Collaborate with database experts to design efficient schemas and implement secure data access patterns.
  • Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway), ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment, utilizing containerization tools like Docker.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud resource usage, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance and minimize costs.
  • Adhere to ISO 13485 and HIPAA standards for medical software development, prioritizing patient safety and data protection.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as per medical device software lifecycle requirements, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in full-stack development with a proven track record in backend and Android expertise.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in Java for Android and backend services, with a strong understanding of Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Plus: Knowledge of Python (FastAPI) and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, deployment pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, version control systems like Git, and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and attention to detail, with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
