We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assurance Manager 1. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering high-quality assurance services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: The selected candidate will lead a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure their growth and development.
  • Service Delivery: The Assurance Manager 1 will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various phases of the support service, including staff requirements, client engagement teamwork plans, hours monitoring, and skills assessment.
  • Quality Control and Monitoring: The candidate will coordinate and participate in the monitoring and review of quality control related to service delivery, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards.
  • Client Relationships: The Assurance Manager 1 will maintain relationships with abroad teams, providing excellent client service through supervision of RDC staff, assisting with review of work product, and ensuring staff are performing proper self-review.
  • Technical and Professional Standards: The selected candidate will maintain high technical and professional standards, promoting and upholding firm policies and procedures.
  • Staff Development: The Assurance Manager 1 will develop, motivate, and train staff-level team members, advising on career development and participating in design and delivery of training programs.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: The candidate will proactively anticipate and address concerns, escalate issues as they arise, and maintain own professional development through ongoing education/development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: A Bachelor's in commerce/MBA or Qualified CA/ACCA/Licensed CPA.
  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit-related field, specifically in the NFP industry.
  • Skills: Excellent technical skills in accounting, including GAAP and GAAS, and IFRS. Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills, relevant experience in providing effective management oversight of staff, ability to cultivate and maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships, and ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent verbal and written communication (English) is required as the position involves frequent communications with RSM client engagement teams.
