Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately $140,000 - $180,000 per year. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BMC software development expert to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and debugging OpenBMC solutions while collaborating with customers and guiding technical teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 4–8 years of hands-on experience in OpenBMC software development, integration, and debugging
  • Proven expertise in interfacing application layers, kernel layers, and hardware in OpenBMC environments
  • Hands-on experience with Linux device drivers and kernel programming would be advantageous

In addition, you should have strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and enhancing OpenBMC software, ensuring seamless integration of application, kernel, and hardware layers
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues throughout the OpenBMC development lifecycle
  • Collaborating with customers to gather requirements, perform analysis, and define project scopes and timelines
  • Working extensively with data-model protocols such as MCTP, PLDM/PSDM, CXL, RedFish, and RAS APIs
  • Participating in Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit workgroups and staying informed on emerging industry trends
  • Designing and implementing Linux device drivers to support hardware integration (preferred)
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to the team while contributing to individual development tasks
  • Managing challenges in projects by identifying risks and implementing effective solutions
