Job Description

Nomura Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the global operations of our financial services group. Our integrated network spans approximately 30 countries and regions, connecting markets East & West and serving the needs of individuals, institutions, corporates and governments through our three business divisions: Wealth Management, Investment Management, and Wholesale Global Markets and Investment Banking.

Divisional Overview:

The Risk Department at Nomura is broadly organized according to the main risk classes Market Risk, Credit Risk, New Business and Operational Risk.

Business Overview:

The candidate must have a strong background in visual data delivery; interactive design and SQL with a passion for reimagining and designing. This includes planning, designing, coordinating and developing highly interactive dashboards, reports with built-in guided analytics for various lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring areas of risk such as settlement risk and credit risk metrics.
  • Support CRM in managing limits and excesses for products, counterparties, and countries.
  • Collaborate with IT and other functions to streamline and automate credit risk processes.
  • Conduct regular checks, issue tracking and remediation monitoring in line with credit risk policies.
  • Prepare and present senior management decks on credit risk metrics and ad-hoc analysis.

Requirements:

  • 0 – 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong background in visual data delivery, interactive design and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Alteryx and Python.
  • Good understanding of Financial Products for e.g. Derivatives, SFT, etc.
  • Self-motivated, logical thinking, good interpersonal skills and ability to form successful working relationships.
