Founding Backend Engineer

Job Description

As a founding backend engineer, you will be part of the team that shapes the architecture and development of our AI-driven finance platform. Your expertise in designing and scaling backend systems will play a crucial role in building a high-impact system that meets the needs of our customers.

You will work closely with the founders to deliver features from 0 to 1, ensuring performance, scalability, and audit compliance. Your skills in building APIs and services using Python (FastAPI/Flask) will help us integrate complex data integration challenges across financial systems.

Our ideal candidate has 4–8 years of backend software engineering experience, with a strong builder/founder mindset and proficiency in Python (FastAPI/Flask). Top-tier university background is preferred, but not required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Python (FastAPI/Flask)
  • Strong builder/founder mindset – ideally ex-founder/CTO or early engineer at a VC-backed startup
  • 4–8 years backend software engineering experience
  • Top-tier university background (IITs preferred)
  • Clear motivation for a high-impact role
