Job Title: Mongo DB Specialist
Division Overview

This role oversees the administration and maintenance of our MongoDB database, ensuring maximum availability and performance. The position requires a detailed understanding of database design, architecture, and setup, as well as experience with sharding and indexing strategies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and maintain MongoDB / Atlas Database projects
  • Maintain detailed documentation of database Design / Architecture and setups
  • Establish procedures for backup / recovery and disaster recovery
  • Administer MongoDB to achieve maximum availability and performance
  • Design and implement sharding and indexing strategies for MongoDB
  • Configure and monitor replica sets
  • Perform patch upgrades
  • Design and build operational infrastructure to support our databases, automating where possible
  • Establish database security procedure
  • Create users, assign roles, and manage permissions
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and standards
  • Provide support to the users community using incident problem management tools

Requirements:
  • 8-12 years of experience in MongoDB administration and database management
  • Detailed understanding of database design, architecture, and setup
  • Experience with sharding and indexing strategies
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
