At Momentive, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior External Reporting Analyst to join our Global Shared Services team in MBS, India. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our external financial reporting, including compliance with IFRS/K-IFRS and GAAP regulations.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the external reporting effort to ensure that financial reporting complies with IFRS/K-IFRS and GAAP regulations
- Conduct accounting technical research and write issue memos for accounting and disclosure matters, including reviews on certain reporting matters for IFRS/K-IFRS and US GAAP
- Maintain SOX 404 documentation and related testing for the financial reporting cycle
- Provide support for special projects as needed by Controllership and External reporting team
- Offer GAAP support to various Finance leaders
- Assist with the annual external audit process to help resolve accounting, auditing, and reporting issues
- Support quarterly MOMH IFRS consolidations (as requested)
- Assist with quarterly IFRS Footnotes for Korean Parent Consolidations
- Support pension accounting under both IFRS and US GAAP, including quarterly pension accounting footnotes per IFRS
- Aid in hedge accounting and related quarterly footnotes per IFRS
- Provide IFRS support for MOM Holdings
- Administer the Lease Accelerator Tool for compliance
- Support K-SOX compliance efforts for controllership team
- Prepare/Assist in US GAAP to IFRS Convergence entries
- Coordinate US GAAP to IFRS Financial Statements for External Reporting Team
- Coordinate with our Korean Parent as needed
- CI and ability to look at opportunities for digitization and automation
- Adheres to policy
- Chartered Accountant/ACCA/CPA
- 4-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a related field
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS/K-IFRS
- Experience with financial statement preparation and consolidation
- Basic understanding of SOX 404 compliance and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong orientation to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
